This is a temporary job opening with the potential for permanent placement.

Schedule:

Monday-Friday 7am-3:30 pm, with one Saturday shift per month

Expected duration: 3 months with the possibility of permanent placement

This position will require travel between IOP and PSC locations. A clean driving record and reliable transportation are necessary. Mileage reimbursement is provided.

Summary:

Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging samples, documenting maintenance activities, updating patient records, and more.

• Collect and handle specimens following standard procedures.
• Instruct patients on venipuncture and other specimen collection procedures in a clear and respectful manner.
• Demonstrate proficiency in using straight needles and butterfly needles.
• Understand and follow physician instructions accurately.
• Match requisition forms with specimen tubes, label specimens, centrifuge, split, and freeze samples as needed.
• Verify test requisitions for accuracy and package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens at the correct temperature and handle samples appropriately.

High school diploma or GED required

Minimum of 2 years of experience in phlebotomy
