This is a contract job opportunity with potential for perm. Position:

Schedule:
6:30AM to 6:30PM M-F and covering 2 Saturdays a month. Shifts will be 8 hours but may need to start as early as 6:30 or end as late as 6:30PM depending on location. Projected duration: 3 months + potential for perm. Job code: CVDJP. Benefits are available.
This is a float job covering Newberg, Bridgeport, Sherwood, and Portland. The home base would be the PSC closest to where the candidate lives. Requires a clean driving record and reliable transportation. Mileage expenses paid.
Description:
Summary:
The main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshooting, training, and making work flow recommendations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
- Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
- Properly explains in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and or other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required.
- Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles.
- Fully understand all of the physicians' orders.
- Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Check all test requisitions or computer label against script to ensure 100% correct.
- Package specimens for transport.
- Stores specimen sample according to required temperature, places samples
High School Diploma or GED Minimum 2 years of experience
