Overview

Archer Vineyard is looking for a warm, knowledgeable, and detail-oriented Tasting Room Associate to join our team of hospitality professionals. Set on old‑vine, southwest‑facing slopes in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, our estate tasting room welcomes guests for memorable pours of our Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris, and other varietals. In this role, you will greet guests, guide them through tastings, share the story behind our wines, and help maintain a welcoming, well‑organized tasting room.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet, welcome and guide guests through their experience, setting a friendly, knowledgeable, and professional tone
  • Serve wine and any accompanying food/pairings following proper pouring and safety standards
  • Recommend wines and promote wine club memberships, bottle sales, and merchandise
  • Process sales transactions accurately using the POS system
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting bar, tables, and guest areas throughout shifts
  • Restock supplies (glassware, wine, napkins, and merchandise) as needed
  • Monitor guest consumption responsibly and comply with OLCC regulations
  • Assist with event setup/breakdown (private tastings, wine club events, etc.) as needed
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations
Qualifications
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Prior customer service, hospitality, or serving experience preferred
  • Passion for wine and willingness to learn about our estate varietals and production methods
  • OLCC alcohol server permit (or willingness to obtain one before starting date)
  • Oregon Food Handlers card (or willingness to obtain one before starting date)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds (cases of wine, supplies)
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends, holidays, and evenings
  • A positive, team‑oriented attitude
