Shipping Clerk

The Shipping Clerk I supports daily outbound shipping operations by helping ensure customer orders are processed, packaged, documented, and shipped safely, accurately, and on time. This position works closely with Production and Customer Service while maintaining an organized, efficient, and professional work environment.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

Maintain a safe work environment and follow established workplace safety procedures.

Process outbound orders according to established procedures and customer requirements.

Inspect, handle, package, and prepare materials for shipment accurately and efficiently.

Support on-time delivery by maintaining an effective daily shipping workflow and schedule.

Complete shipping transactions accurately using ERP and shipping software/systems.

Work with Customer Service, Production, and supervisors to support material flow and resolve shipping issues.

Identify discrepancies or quality concerns and communicate them promptly for corrective action.

Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform other duties as assigned.

Educational and Skill Requirements:

1–3 years of manufacturing experience preferred.

Previous shipping, warehouse, or logistics experience is a plus.

Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate records.

Basic computer skills and ability to learn shipping and ERP systems.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Professional attitude and dependable attendance.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to safely lift 1–20 lbs. frequently and up to 55 lbs. occasionally.

Ability to stand and remain active for extended periods throughout the shift.

Equipment Used:

Personal computer and standard shipping/warehouse systems.

Telephone and other standard workplace equipment.

Work Schedule and Pay:

Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM

Occasional overtime may be required.

Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

Location:

Newberg, OR

Temp-to-Hire with the opportunity for permanent placement.

Regular and consistent attendance is expected.
