The Assistant Director of Access and Belonging / Title IX Coordinator will serve as part of the Inclusive Excellence team and report to the AVP for Inclusive Excellence. This leader will oversee university efforts in Title IX education, prevention, response and compliance and contribute to providing strategic vision and planning as it relates to equity and access for all members of our community.

The work of the Assistant Director of Access and Belonging / Title IX Coordinator will occur in collaboration with various departments and campus partners and will have wide‑spread influence over the student and employee experience.

Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Leading institutional efforts on trauma‑informed Title IX/sexual misconduct administration, compliance, and educational programming efforts.
    • Ensuring proper case coordination and assignment of deputy coordinator roles.
    • Providing leadership and strategic development of the Sexual Misconduct CARE Team and processes.
    • Providing consultations and making recommendations to university departments regarding Title IX compliance.
    • Helping build a culture of care and through education, programming and training.
  • In partnership with The Office of People and Culture, providing support and services in response to incidents of employee misconduct.
  • Ensuring related policies and procedures meet regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Communicating effectively and courteously with others, including employees, students, and the public, in a spirit of teamwork, respect and customer service.
  • By actions, words, and lifestyle, be a Christian role model to students, whether through casual contact or in a formal supervisory role.
  • Demonstrated experience working cross culturally with respect, appreciation and humility.
  • Other duties as assigned.
A day in the life of this position:

The daily life of the Assistant Director of Access and Belonging / Title IX Coordinator includes: team/individual meetings with staff, Title IX incident coordination/training/consultation, leadership development activities, collaborative work with other departments, and conducting training.
