With an environment that encourages and assists each person in developing to their highest potential, a career at A-dec is incredibly rewarding.## Overview The Assembler II performs both routine and semi-routine assembly tasks which include sub-assemblies, assembling some final products, packaging, water spider, and checks parts for quality and function.

* JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

*** Performs routine assembly tasks, working independently with the aid of standard work assembly drawings (SWADs), such as:  + Assembles electrical and mechanical components and any additional routine sub-assemblies.  + Packages products while maintaining quality and productivity standards.  + Water Spider (inventory movement support): facilitates workflow, including stocking bins, pallets, cardboard, and general material handling.  + Builds final product. Works with area manufacturing engineers (ME’s)
* Frequently operates tools/equipment such as hand tools, pneumatics tools, testing equipment, fixtures, and high voltage dielectric testing while using required personal protective equipment (PPE) and following safety guidelines.
* Routinely follows work and test instructions to perform tasks. May be required to interpret the results of certain tests and at times may troubleshoot and repair assemblies as necessary.
* Achieves and maintains established safety, quality, and productivity standards. Must not pose a risk to self or others.
* Assembler II is in the process of learning to build an entire product or line and may train less experienced Assemblers.

**** Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
*** Must be able to read, write, and communicate in English with a demonstrated ability to follow written and oral instructions.
* Must possess basic computer skills.
* Able to perform basic math calculations.
* Must be able to troubleshoot problems when necessary.
* Must be able to operate the required hand tools and fixtures.
* Able to interpret standard work assembly drawings (SWAD), production order paperwork, test instructions, and quality checklists.
