Nurse Educator, Director of Nursing
RN - Quality Assurance located at Providence Willamette Falls Medical Center (primary) and Providence Milwaukie Hospital (secondary) with occasional travel to Providence Newberg Medical Center. This is a full‑time day shift position (Monday‑Friday, 7:30am‑4pm).
DescriptionProvides assessment, evaluation and support for all quality initiatives within PHS Oregon. Manages initiatives to comply with Center for Medicare and Medicaid Services, The Joint Commission, administrative and program personnel requirements, and third‑party payors. Works with physician leadership, directors, and managers to develop and implement quality efforts, including risk monitoring and reduction in clinical and non‑clinical systems, and coordinates multidisciplinary quality improvement projects.
Acts as facilitator and mentor for departmental teams related to performance improvement. Authorises and makes decisions on recommendations and innovative solutions.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing
- Oregon Registered Nurse license upon hire
- Demonstrated clinical experience across a wide variety of patient populations and care delivery models
- Demonstrated leadership experience
- Demonstrated effective communication skills (verbal and written) with physicians, nursing staff, the public, and all levels of hospital management
- 5 years of clinical experience
- 5 years of hospital experience in progressively responsible positions requiring contact with various departments
- Master's degree in Nursing, Public Health, Business, Healthcare, or Business Administration
- Adult medical‑surgical experience
