Job Description & How to Apply Below
We are seeking an enthusiastic, wine-loving individual who is passionate about genuine hospitality to join our team! Take in the beautiful estate property while hosting guests in our tasting room, down in the caves, or out on our serene patio overlooking the vineyard. We’re more than just pinot noir + chardonnay, too! There’s sauvignon blanc, riesling, a syrah/pinot noir blend, and a fantastic array of Riesling and more from our import company.
Come enjoy learning about and selling these fantastic brands and have fun while doing it!
- Warmly greet guests as they arrive and guide guests through wine tasting flights, tours, and private tastings with a focus on education, our various vineyard sources, and old‑world‑inspired production practices. Throughout the tasting experience, this individual should also strive to build rapport and establish genuine connections with the guests.
- While creating these connections, this individual should also effectively promote and sell/up‑sell wine & wine club memberships, with the intent to meet and exceed monthly goals.
- Be able to manage multiple tasting groups at one time and anticipate their needs.
- Be an upbeat and personable team player with the ability to jump into varying roles to support the team depending on the needs of the day, and willing to take on additional tasks as needed/requested.
- Work in coordination with the team to ensure all hospitality spaces are stocked, clean, and organized, and set up and broken down efficiently each day.
- Ability to work within a POS and reservation system (Commerce7 & Block 55), processing sales, club memberships, shipping orders, and reservations.
- Ability to recognize the signs of an intoxicated guest and take swift and appropriate action to address the situation.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and maintain a professional, friendly, and engaging demeanor.
- Assist with events both on and off‑site as needed.
- Ability to assemble small bite items for guests and adhere to food safety guidelines.
- Ability to lift up to 45 lbs repeatedly, and the ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time.
- Must possess a valid OLCC Servers Permit & food handlers card, or be able to acquire one.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledgeable about wine with an enthusiasm to continually learn and share new information.
- Past wine, restaurant, sales, and/or other hospitality experience required.
- Must be detail‑oriented, driven to grow and excel, and maintain a professional demeanor and appearance.
- Must be friendly, engaging, passionate about wine, and willing to work with a team of like‑minded individuals.
- Available 1‑3 days a week, with the ability to work weekends, special events, and some evenings.
Compensation includes a highly competitive hourly wage, DOE, sales commission, tips, and club signup commission.
