Overview

B2 Community Care is seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure our facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance, a strong safety mindset, and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities

Preventive & Corrective Maintenance

  • Perform routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
  • Troubleshoot issues using electrical test tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Replace worn components such as fasteners, belts, bearings, seals, and lubricants.
  • Restore equipment to optimal operating condition while minimizing downtime.

Facility Maintenance

  • Repair and maintain fixtures, doors, flooring, lighting, and grounds as needed.

Safety Compliance

  • Follow all safety procedures, protocols, and environmental regulations.
  • Comply with company and state standards.
  • Participate in safety meetings and trainings.

Documentation

  • Maintain accurate work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and service reports.

Continuous Improvement

  • Identify recurring issues and recommend solutions.
  • Contribute to root‑cause analysis and process improvements.

Emergency On‑Call Support

  • Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours maintenance, as needed.
Qualifications

Experience

  • 2–4 years of maintenance or related experience required.
  • Fleet maintenance or residential/commercial construction experience is a plus.

Technical Skills

  • Basic electrical knowledge (controls, wiring diagrams, voltages).
  • Mechanical aptitude (pumps, gearboxes, bearings, belts).
  • HVAC familiarity and basic controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.

Tools & Equipment

  • Proficient with hand and power tools.
  • Experience using multimeters and electrical testing equipment.

Certifications (Not Required)

  • OSHA 10/30
  • NFPA
  • EPA Lead‑Safe

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Comfortable working in confined spaces.
  • Capable of performing physically demanding tasks.

Soft Skills

  • Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Reliability and teamwork.

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, or related field.
