Overview
B2 Community Care is seeking a proactive and skilled Maintenance Technician to ensure our facilities, equipment, and systems operate safely and efficiently. The ideal candidate has hands‑on experience in electrical, mechanical, and general maintenance, a strong safety mindset, and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship.
Key ResponsibilitiesPreventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Perform routine inspections, servicing, and repairs on electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and building systems.
- Troubleshoot issues using electrical test tools, multimeters, and diagnostic equipment.
- Replace worn components such as fasteners, belts, bearings, seals, and lubricants.
- Restore equipment to optimal operating condition while minimizing downtime.
Facility Maintenance
- Repair and maintain fixtures, doors, flooring, lighting, and grounds as needed.
Safety Compliance
- Follow all safety procedures, protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Comply with company and state standards.
- Participate in safety meetings and trainings.
Documentation
- Maintain accurate work orders, preventive maintenance schedules, parts inventory, and service reports.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify recurring issues and recommend solutions.
- Contribute to root‑cause analysis and process improvements.
Emergency On‑Call Support
- Participate in a rotating on‑call schedule for after‑hours maintenance, as needed.
Experience
- 2–4 years of maintenance or related experience required.
- Fleet maintenance or residential/commercial construction experience is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Basic electrical knowledge (controls, wiring diagrams, voltages).
- Mechanical aptitude (pumps, gearboxes, bearings, belts).
- HVAC familiarity and basic controls.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and manuals.
Tools & Equipment
- Proficient with hand and power tools.
- Experience using multimeters and electrical testing equipment.
Certifications (Not Required)
- OSHA 10/30
- NFPA
- EPA Lead‑Safe
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks.
Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliability and teamwork.
Education
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate degree or technical certification in Maintenance, Industrial Maintenance, Electromechanics, or related field.
