Overview
Facilities Engineer at Providence Newberg Medical Center – Full-Time, Variable Schedule. This is a full-time day position supporting the Portland Service Area.
ResponsibilitiesThe Facilities Engineer supports the physical environment required for delivering health care services. He/she is responsible for ensuring the reliability and safety of the facility by monitoring, operating, and maintaining building systems and equipment. The role requires working knowledge of systems, processes, and procedures to safely and effectively perform duties of a stationary engineer and maintenance electrician, while continually developing knowledge of new processes, equipment, and technologies used to carry out the work.
QualificationsRequired qualifications:
Coursework/Training:
Stationary engineer apprenticeship or equivalent training/experience (e.g., Electrician apprenticeship).On hire:
National Electrician Supervisor License (state/county/city) orOn hire:
National Electrician Journeyman License orOn hire:
National Electrician Limited Maintenance License orOn hire:
National Electrician Limited Building Maintenance LicenseOn request:
Driving may be necessary. Requires compliance with state driving laws and proof of driver's license and auto insurance upon request.
Preferred qualifications:
Coursework/Training:
Computerized building management systems (DDC) or equivalent experience.On hire: EPA 608 Universal Refrigeration Technician certification
On hire: ASSE 6040 Medical Gas Maintenance certification
On hire: OHA Backflow Assembly Tester certification
On hire:
Oregon Boiler License – Class 2 or higher3 years of experience in central plant operations and maintenance
Experience operating and maintaining fire alarm systems
