$28.30 - $30.09/hr. | Full-Time | Excellent Benefits | Weekends and on-call as needed

At Friendsview Retirement Community, we re looking for an experienced Appliance Repair Technician to help keep our community running safely and efficiently. You ll work on everything from commercial kitchen equipment that serves hundreds of residents to residential appliances in independent living homes—all while being part of a supportive team that values craftsmanship, respect, and purpose.

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain commercial kitchen equipment and residential appliances.
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals.
• Perform preventive maintenance to keep equipment operating safely and efficiently.
• Order and replace parts while maintaining accurate service records.
• Communicate repair recommendations and updates with customers and team members.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicle.
• Respond to occasional emergency or after-hours service calls.
• Follow safety standards and work collaboratively to keep our community running smoothly.

You d be a great fit if you have:

• 3–5+ years of appliance repair experience (commercial kitchen equipment preferred)
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while being a great teammate
• Great customer service and communication skills
• High school diploma or equivalent
• EPA 608 Certification
• Appliance repair or related trade certifications

Candidates must be able to:

• Pass a DHS criminal background check
• Pass a pre-employment drug screen
• Pass reference checks
• Provide employment eligibility documentation (I-9)
• Maintain a valid driver s license with an acceptable driving record
• Carry required automobile liability insurance
