ABOUT THE JOBMembers of the Ground Crew prepare and load chemicals into the aircraft. This position is with Diversified Applications, Inc. (DAI), Helena’s aerial application business that operates across the United States and expands through acquisitions. DAI aims to become the leader of the agricultural aviation industry.
WHAT YOUR DAY WILL LOOK LIKE- Blends and loads all chemical mixes prior to each load/flight.
- Maintains a clean aircraft.
- Monitors inventory and fuel levels for the leader.
- Maintains cleanliness in hanger/loadout areas.
- Drives batch trucks within Oregon, Washington, Idaho and California.
- Loads helicopters.
- Very early mornings are often required.
- Provides excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
- Completes other job‑related duties assigned by the leader.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.
- Follows all company policies and procedures.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Class B CDL with tanker endorsement is required; manual truck operation required.
- Hazmat endorsement is preferred.
- Customer‑service oriented.
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Ability to read, write and speak in English is required.
- Spanish communication is a valuable skill.
- Valid U.S. driver’s license required to use company vehicles and meet all driving requirements.
Successful completion of a drug test and background check is required for all positions at Helena.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ASPECTS OF THE JOBWork is performed outdoors in all weather conditions with exposure to chemical, biological, and mechanical hazards. Responsibilities include frequent hand use, talking, hearing, walking, sitting, standing (8+ hours per day), lifting, carrying, pushing or pulling up to 50 lbs, reaching overhead up to 25 lbs, climbing, bending, and working at various heights.
