Job SummaryThe Registered Nurse working in the operating room and the recovery room will possess current knowledge of perioperative nursing trends and techniques, as evidenced by the department’s credentialing. The RN must work effectively with physicians, patients, and peers, demonstrating tact, discretion, and diplomacy, while also exhibiting leadership and the ability to perform under pressure.
RequirementsEducation and Experience
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- At least six months of nursing experience in an acute care setting. One year of perioperative experience preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of South Carolina.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardio Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required.
