The Edison Engineering Development Program is a three‑year entry‑level rotational program designed to develop electrical engineering talent through live product development experience and advanced coursework. The program includes at least three technical rotational assignments across various technology areas within GE Appliances, a Haier company, and culminates in a Master’s degree in engineering which is fully paid for by the company in partnership with a local university.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Complete at least three technical rotational assignments across engineering positions within GE Appliances.
- Design, implement, and test electrical and electronic solutions as part of product development projects.
- Develop technical problem‑solving skills through advanced coursework, formal reports, and presentations to senior leadership.
- Participate in engineering project teams and meet project milestones.
- Collaborate with manufacturing and product‑management teams to integrate product designs that meet customer needs.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
- College cumulative GPA of 3.0/4.0 or higher.
- Unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
- Must be located in Louisville, KY, or willing to relocate.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Desire and ability to continue learning.
- Commitment to a technical engineering program.
- Solid analytical skills and understanding of electrical schematics and symbols.
- Competence with electronic tools such as soldering iron and multimeter.
- Strong work ethic.
- Completed two or more co‑op or internship experiences before graduation.
