Veteran Development Program – GE Appliances
GE Appliances, a Haier company, invites US veterans with commissioned officer experience to join a 2‑year rotational training program focused on supply‑chain manufacturing. Program locations include Louisville, KY, Decatur, AL, and Lafayette, GA. Relocation assistance is provided.
Responsibilities- Rotate through manufacturing, operations, and supply‑chain functions including sourcing/purchasing, quality, engineering, materials, and lean initiatives.
- Set goals and targets with your assignment leader.
- Lead cross‑level teams using influence.
- Initiate and implement process improvement projects.
- Develop and demonstrate systematic problem‑solving and project execution skills.
- Participate in classroom and online leadership and functional training.
- Maintain regular feedback sessions with assignment lead.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Commissioned officer with an E‑6 or higher grade (maximum 2years separation from active duty; exceptions may apply).
- Demonstrated military leadership and key developmental assignments.
- Strong problem‑solving, delegation, and goal‑setting abilities.
- Adaptability and eagerness to learn new roles.
- Passion for supply chain and/or manufacturing.
- Methodical approach to problem‑solving and interpersonal communication skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business.
- 3–5years commissioned officer or 6–10years NCO experience, with an E‑7 or higher grade.
- Prior manufacturing experience.
- Advanced degree in business, engineering, or related field.
