Senior Manager, Material Planning

- Drive Materials Strategy & Operational Performance: lead daily inventory coverage reviews to ensure uninterrupted production and sustainable operations, proactively identify material risks and develop solutions to prevent production disruptions, evaluate and approve expedited shipments to maintain critical component availability, analyze supply chain constraints, shortages, and transportation challenges while driving corrective actions, and partner with suppliers and cross‑functional teams to improve responsiveness, inventory accuracy, and overall supply chain performance.
- Lead Inventory Optimization & Continuous Improvement: develop and execute strategies that balance inventory investment with operational requirements, champion inventory reduction initiatives and projects aligned with business objectives and Hoshin goals, drive improvements in material availability, transportation planning, logistics performance, and supplier execution, support inventory management processes related to quality holds, rejected material, and inventory reconciliation, and utilize Lean methodologies to eliminate waste, improve processes, and increase operational efficiency.
- Support Growth & Product Launches: lead materials planning activities for new product introductions, model changes, and production transitions, coordinate work transfers and inventory balancing efforts across manufacturing operations, and ensure successful launch readiness through proactive management of new component availability and supply chain execution.
- Develop Teams & Strengthen Operations: coach, mentor, and develop materials and plant personnel to build organizational capability, foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, safety, and continuous improvement, and lead initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, cost, and environmental compliance objectives.
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering.
- 7+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in materials or supply chain management.
- 3+ years of people‑management experience.
- Proven track record in leading cross‑functional teams to success.
- Expertise in Lean tools and processes, with hands‑on Lean experience.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly.
- Experience in organizational change management and promoting a collaborative, problem‑solving culture.
- Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
- Experience with Oracle systems.
- Outstanding negotiation skills.
- A bold, innovative mindset with the courage to challenge the status quo.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing shop environment.
- A results‑driven approach with a passion for energizing and inspiring teams to exceed their potential.
- Certifications like APICS/ASCM (CPIM, CSCP) are highly preferred.
- Green Belt Six Sigma Certification.
