+ Receive, inspect, and verify incoming medical supplies and materials for accuracy and quality.
+ Organize, label, and stock shelves and storage areas to ensure medical supplies are easy to locate and access.
+ Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and check expiration dates to maintain safe and usable supplies.
+ Deliver medical supplies to clinical departments such as primary care, radiology, oncology/infusion, CT, and PET scanning in a timely and accurate manner.
+ Support nurses, doctors, medical assistants, and other clinical personnel by responding to supply requests and ensuring their material needs are met.
+ Follow written instructions and standard operating procedures for materials handling and inventory management.
+ Use basic Microsoft Outlook and email to communicate with staff and respond to requests or questions.
+ Work appropriately and professionally in patient care areas, maintaining a calm and respectful presence around patients and clinical personnel.
+ Ask questions and seek guidance when unsure about processes, locations, or specific medical supplies.
+ Collaborate with team members to lift and move heavier items, ideally up to 50 pounds, using safe lifting practices.
+ Assist with shipping and receiving activities, including unpacking, sorting, and organizing incoming deliveries.
+ Maintain a clean, orderly stockroom and materials storage environment to support efficient operations.
+ Coordinate with experienced staff and the supervisor to learn facility-specific processes and adapt to workflow needs.
+ Support only the assigned Newburgh facility and help ensure materials coverage is sustainable for the existing team.
Essential Skills
+
Experience with materials handling, inventory, or stockroom work in any setting.
+ Ability to stock shelves and organize supplies in a logical and efficient manner.
+ Basic understanding of materials management principles, including rotating inventory and checking expiration dates.
+ Familiarity or willingness to learn basic medical terminology related to supplies and equipment.
+ High school diploma or GED.
+ Basic Microsoft Outlook and email skills for communication and coordination.
+ Basic written and verbal communication skills to follow instructions and interact with clinical staff.
+ Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
+ Willingness to ask questions and seek clarification when unsure about tasks or procedures.
+ Dependable, professional attitude, and a strong willingness to help others.
+ Ability to work appropriately and respectfully around patients and clinical personnel.
+ Ideally able to lift up to 50 pounds, with teamwork available for heavier items.

Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in medical or healthcare supply chain, materials management, or stockroom support.
+ Supermarket or overnight stocking, with familiarity in organizing shelves and rotating products.
+ Experience rotating inventory or checking expiration dates in any environment.
+ Warehouse or general materials handling experience.
+ Shipping and receiving experience, including handling deliveries and organizing incoming goods.
Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Newburgh, NY.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $25.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
