Nursery Practitioner - Level 3

Monday-Friday (choice of condensed 4‑day week or traditional 5‑day week, all year round)
Hours:
07:15-18:30 (4‑day week) or 08:00-17:30 (5‑day week)
Salary:

The Position
This position offers an excellent opportunity for a committed and enthusiastic practitioner to join a friendly and supportive team within an ISI‑rated Outstanding nursery environment.
The Nursery Practitioner will play a vital role in delivering high‑quality care and early education for children across the setting. Working alongside colleagues in their assigned room, they will contribute to a nurturing, stimulating atmosphere that supports each child's individual learning journey. The nursery follows the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and uses a child‑led, in‑the‑moment planning approach.
The setting is based in a spacious, purpose‑designed building with dedicated rooms for Babies, Toddlers, and Pre‑school children, as well as large, well‑equipped outdoor areas tailored to each age group.

Duties & Responsibilities
The Nursery Practitioner will be expected to:
Act as a Key Person, supporting children's development and maintaining accurate records using iConnect
Facilitate meaningful, play‑based learning experiences that promote development across all EYFS areas
Ensure children's nutritional, hygiene, and safety needs are met with care, professionalism, and attention to detail
Build positive, trusting relationships with parents and carers through clear and effective communication
Uphold high standards of hygiene, health & safety, and compliance with safeguarding policies
Support the wider nursery team during inspections, professional training, and nursery events
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a full and relevant Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Early Years Education
Have at least one year of experience working with children under five
Demonstrate a secure understanding of the EYFS and safeguarding procedures
Possess excellent communication skills and a collaborative, team‑focused approach
