Electrician

Overview

Sovereign Network Group is seeking a qualified Electrician to join our property services team in the Southampton area. This role involves time on the road; the successful candidate will receive a van and fuel card as part of the package.

• Carry out routine testing of electrical services equipment and repairs in our customers' homes as part of our Electrical Team.
• Undergo responsive repairs and works within planned teams in line with work schedules and established procedures, in accordance with IEE wiring regulations.
• Apply a strong health and safety mindset and knowledge of health & safety best practices.
• Estimate, requisition and recommend the acquisition of materials and spares to ensure satisfactory repairs and maintenance in line with IEE wiring regulations and Health and Safety at Work regulations.
• Record and report on the status and condition of electrical services equipment via periodic inspection sheets and minor works/installation certificates. This is a full-time role, 40 hours per week, with the opportunity to supplement salary through call out and overtime at competitive rates.
• Travel within the role; hold a full and current driving licence with a minimum of 1 year's experience.
• Role is subject to a satisfactory licence check, essential qualifications check and a basic disclosure.
• Engage with internal and external customers as part of delivering quality housing services.

• Experience in a similar role within a Residential/Housing sector is ideal.
• Qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent).
• 18th Edition (BS7671).
• City & Guilds 2391 Electrical Test/Inspect.
