About the Role
We seek an experienced Electrical Technician based at our water production sites in East Thames Valley. As a successful candidate you will use your electrical knowledge and experience to inspect, maintain, fault‑diagnose, test, install, modify or repair electrical equipment in a safe, efficient, timely and effective manner with minimum supervision. The goal is to keep all our sites operational and reduce pollution from our sites.

38 hours per week, Monday‑Friday 07:30‑15:30, plus inclusion on a standby rota with additional pay. All PPE, tools and a van are provided.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the health, safety and well‑being of yourself, colleagues, contractors and visitors by complying with Health and Safety regulations and company guidelines.
- Undertake reactive and planned maintenance, respond to alarms, fault‑find and identify issues, fix or raise them, and perform planned maintenance on plant and equipment daily.
- Record work and asset information to improve business performance, identify future risks and recommend changes.
- Provide specialist technical advice, keep up‑to‑date technical knowledge and coach, train and develop staff, including apprentices.
- Deliver excellent customer experience and positively contribute to overall customer satisfaction. Interact with internal and external customers in a timely, professional, respectful, and polite manner.
- Time‑served apprentice with significant experience in mechanical/electrical systems or NVQ / C&G Level 3 in electrical engineering.
- 18th Edition knowledge preferred—training can be given.
- Problem‑solving skills, able to identify issues, implement solutions and escalate when necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, providing technical expertise to internal and external staff and contractors.
- Resilience and ability to adapt to changing pressures and environments.
- Capability to work independently and with minimal supervision, following design and standards.
- Knowledge and awareness of health and safety issues relevant to the industry.
- Team player who can work in many teams, shows respect, gives useful feedback and supports others’ development.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Salary up to £42,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience.
- Defined Contribution pension—maximum 12% of your salary and 2× employee contribution.
- Annual leave of 26 days (increasing to 30 with length of service) plus bank holidays.
