Job Description
Are you passionate about working with young children in a nurturing, educational environment? We are excited to offer a unique opportunity to join our School‑Based Child Care Program, designed specifically to support the children of Newburyport Schools teachers and staff.

- Plan and implement age‑appropriate lessons for infants/toddlers based on developmental expertise.
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow.
- Provide daycare services, including supervision, feeding, and diaper changing.
- Monitor the well‑being and welfare of each child in the classroom.
Salary range: $20–$23 per hour.
Hours:
18 hours a week during the school year.

Early Childhood
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in early childhood education is preferred.
- Previous experience working with infants/toddlers is required.
- Knowledge of child development principles and best practices in early childhood education.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with young children.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- EEC Infant/Toddler certification.
- Ability to pass a background check.
- At least 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
- Associate degree preferred.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
