Newburyport Public Schools is seeking dependable, flexible, and enthusiastic Daily Substitute Teachers to support student learning at the high school level. Substitute teachers play an important role in maintaining a positive, safe, and productive learning environment and ensuring continuity of instruction when regular teachers are absent. Daily rate is $125 per day

• Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the classroom teacher.
• Provide meaningful and engaging learning activities for students.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Manage classroom behavior using positive and appropriate strategies.
• Take attendance and complete required classroom documentation.
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, and administrators.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student and school information.
• Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding the day's activities and student progress.
