Job DescriptionNewburyport Public Schools is seeking dependable, flexible, and enthusiastic Daily Substitute Teachers to support student learning at the high school level. Substitute teachers play an important role in maintaining a positive, safe, and productive learning environment and ensuring continuity of instruction when regular teachers are absent. Daily rate is $125 per day
- Follow lesson plans and instructional materials provided by the classroom teacher.
- Provide meaningful and engaging learning activities for students.
- Maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive and appropriate strategies.
- Take attendance and complete required classroom documentation.
- Communicate effective with students, faculty, and administrators.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding student and school information.
- Provide feedback to the regular classroom teacher regarding the day's activities and student progress.
