An Engineering Technician works in conjunction with Operations, Engineering, and other technical staff to support and enable production, and develop, implement, train, and maintain manufacturing techniques and processes. Recognizes and utilizes prescribed techniques to solve problems. Can recommend and execute enhancements to product and process flows.

Responsibilities
  • Set up, maintain, and operate equipment, optimize recipes, perform set-ups, and change overs with assistance or instruction.
  • Assist and train operators with equipment and recipe related issues, with outside assistance.
  • Perform equipment setups, changeovers, and breakdowns to meet product and equipment requirements with direction.
  • Provides initial response to and diagnostic and troubleshooting of product, equipment, calibration, software, and hardware issues and failures on the production floor by providing hands‑on problem solving with moderate to high levels of oversight by designated engineering and senior technical staff.
  • Support Operators and Engineers in establishing and maintaining high yielding, cost effective processes based on product needs and customer requirements, and reduce scrap and production waste.
  • With direction and assistance from Engineering, will support the execution of design of experiments (DOE) and data gathering for analysis related to production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final builds; this occurs as needed based on production and resource demands.
  • Effectively communicate in a positive and cooperative way with any level of coworker, as well as with customers, contractors, and vendors.
  • Ensure production is complaint with Company policies, operating procedures, quality standards, processes, and task assignments.
  • Performs additional duties, as assigned.
  • Serve as a member on cross‑functional project teams.
  • Maintains well‑organized and audit ready work areas.
  • Maintains, trains to, and supports the implementation of technical documentation and generation of DCN’s.
  • Assist in Out of Control Action Plan (OCAP) execution under direction from management.
  • Utilizes computer‑based manufacturing systems to move product and enter data.
  • Support activities for online adjustments to product, instruments, or equipment to improve processes to meet yield and cycle time requirements.
Qualifications
  • High school required, Associates degree or higher preferred, especially in an Engineering or technical field.
  • 3+ years of relevant engineering or semiconductor assembly experience required; or other equivalent combination of 38535, MIL-STD-883, ISO
    9001 and EIA/JEDEC standards.
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision.
  • Developing electro‑mechanical aptitude; proven ability to identify and resolve complex problems.
  • Ability to work within a team and as an individual contributor with little independent autonomy in a fast‑paced, changing environment.
  • Familiarity with MIL-PRF-Effective verbal and written communications skills, with ability to effectively communicate with stakeholders at multiple levels in the organization and accurately follow written and verbal instruction.
  • Must be able to effectively prioritize projects assigned, with direction from the process owner.
  • Ability to work in a highly matrixed and diverse business environment.
  • Understand work environment issues (i.e., basic OSHA regulations, etc.).
  • Requires basic computer skills, familiarity with Microsoft office products.
  • Ability to work with basic electronic bench equipment (meters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, etc.).
