Director of Enterprise Applications - IT

Overview

Director of Enterprise Applications - IT is a full-time role based in Newburyport, MA. This position leads the planning and execution of integrating computer applications to manage business operations and increase employee productivity, including selection, installation, upgrading, and daily maintenance of software applications.

• Lead a team of business analysts in business process analysis and optimization, map software application functionality to processes, and develop reports to maximize productivity and enhance decision making across the organization.
• Provide data analysis support from various applications.
• Manage the application helpdesk to respond to functional and technical requests for corporate applications.
• Establish and maintain relationships with service providers to supplement internal business analysis capacity.
• Continuously optimize the application environment to meet evolving business needs.
• Facilitate priority setting for application improvements with stakeholders and ensure follow-through on agreed priorities.
• Manage ERP and other corporate licensing to meet business needs with cost-effective licensing.
• Ensure cross-training within the applications team to provide redundancy of knowledge.
• Provide project management and functional support for ERP implementations and related projects, including hands-on assistance as needed to achieve project success.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business disciplines and 7 to 12 years’ experience preferred, with equivalent experience considered.
• Specialized training or demonstrated knowledge of ERP functionality.
• Five or more years of supervisory or managerial experience required.
• Experience with managing and negotiating software license fees and maintenance.
• Previous ERP implementation and upgrade experience.
• Knowledge of data conversions and data consolidation concepts for migrations and consolidated reporting.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% on average, heavier during remote projects.
