General
Summary:
This role is responsible for leading a team of up to 20 assembly operators who perform the setup and operation of microelectronics assembly equipment, including die and wafer processing, chip-and-wire assembly, screening, visual inspection, measurement, and sorting of semiconductor devices.
- Lead team in scheduling and planning manufacturing priorities
- Operation of manual, automatic, and semi-automatic microelectronics assembly equipment
- Leverage a thorough understanding of die and package inspection to ensure compliance with target specifications including military, JEDEC, and ISO standards
- Follow defined specifications and reaction paths per written/verbal instruction
- Use multiple hand tools to manually process delicate products without damaging components
- Oversee and adhere to all applicable ESD protocols in handling products during the manufacturing and inspection processes
- Train Assembly Operators on equipment operation and assembly process
- Maintain well-organized and audit ready work areas
- Work in an ISO class 7 cleanroom environment
- Utilize computer-based manufacturing systems to move product and enter data
- Will be required to use high and low powered microscopes
- Active member of problem solving and process improvement teams
- Work with engineers and technicians to write and update operator specifications
- Assist in the documentation and recording of applicable KPI’s
- Understanding and implementing 6 Sigma and LEAN principles
- High school diploma or GED is required
- 5 years of related electronic/semiconductor assembly experience
- Basic computer skills including Microsoft Office® software suite
- Ability to communicate verbally and written
- Maintain a high level of attention to detail
- Prior lead experience within a cleanroom environment a plus
- Demonstrable organization skills
- Comfort and ability to work in an ISO class 7 cleanroom environment required
- Comfort and ability to use high and low powered microscopes required
