Reports To: Plant Maintenance Manager
2nd Shift Hours
: 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm
Workdays: Monday to Friday

Your Role:As a Maintenance Technician 2, you'll be a key player in ensuring our state-of-the-art manufacturing equipment runs smoothly. You will proactively maintain and repair production machinery, minimizing downtime while ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards like SQF, HACCP, and GMP. Key Responsibilities:Diagnose & Repair: Identify mechanical defects and troubleshoot equipment issues to keep production running seamlessly.
Preventative Maintenance: Execute scheduled maintenance plans to reduce unexpected downtime.
Root Cause Analysis: Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent future breakdowns.
Team
Collaboration:
Work closely with operators and train them on maintenance best practices to enhance machine longevity.Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance activities in the CMMS system.
Quality & Safety: Ensure compliance with all food safety and workplace safety standards (SQF, HACCP, GMP).
Other Duties: Support additional maintenance-related tasks as needed by supervisors.
Technical
Skills:Minimum 2 years of industrial mechanical experience OR a two-year technical degree.
Ability to install, align, and adjust mechanical power transmission components (gearboxes, bearings, chains, shafts, gears).
Knowledge of pneumatic systems and ability to service regulators, filters, and conductors.
Basic welding proficiency, including proper PPE selection and welding preparation.
Familiarity with bakery or food manufacturing equipment is a plus.
Certifications & Requirements:
Must have or obtain a Forklift License within 90 days of hire.
HACCP Certification (or ability to complete successfully).
Must have own tools (required tool list provided upon hire).
Additional
Skills:Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic PC skills.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs (assistance required if exceeded).
Comfortable with prolonged standing (up to 12 hours), bending, kneeling, and manual dexterity.
