Machine Operator All Shifts

We are hiring Machine Operators for all three shifts. This is a great opportunity for dependable candidates looking for steady manufacturing work with paid lunch, significant overtime opportunities, and double pay on Sundays.

Available Shifts

1st Shift: 7:00 AM 3:00 PM
2nd Shift: 2:00 PM 10:30 PM
3rd Shift: 11:00 PM 7:00 AM

Position Summary

The Machine Operator is responsible for setting up, operating, monitoring, and cleaning production equipment used to emboss and slit rolls of film.

Operators will monitor product quality, make machine adjustments, perform changeovers, and ensure production runs safely and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Read production schedules and work orders to prepare for machine runs and changeovers.
  • Set up, start, stop, and operate production machinery.
  • Load and unload rolls and other production materials.
  • Thread film through rollers and prepare machines for production.
  • Adjust machine temperature, speed, flow, slit width, rollers, and blades.
  • Monitor the embossing and slitting process.
  • Inspect materials and finished products for defects or quality issues.
  • Make machine adjustments when necessary.
  • Perform machine changeovers between production runs.
  • Complete required quality control checks.
  • Record production quantities and other required production information.
  • Clean machines and machine parts between production runs.
  • Use hand tools to adjust and secure machine components.
  • Move materials using carts, pallet jacks, forklifts, or fork trucks.
  • Safely operate a forklift/fork truck as required.
  • Use basic computer equipment to print production sheets and labels and complete QA testing.
  • Follow proper safety procedures when handling solvents and other materials.
  • Report production or quality concerns to the Team Lead or technical staff.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Previous manufacturing or machine operating experience preferred.
  • Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and good judgment.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Forklift experience is helpful.
  • Experience with 5S is helpful but not required.
  • Must be dependable and able to work the assigned shift consistently.
  • Must be available to work at least two weekends per month.
  • Must be willing to work overtime as production needs require.
  • Must be willing to cross-train and assist other departments when needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to bend, reach, climb, and work safely around manufacturing equipment.
  • Ability to use hand tools and make basic machine adjustments.
  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 65 pounds as needed.
  • Ability to safely work around moving machinery and forklifts.
  • Must be able to complete respiratory clearance requirements and wear a respirator when required.
  • Must comply with the company's 100% smoke-free campus policy.

Previous manufacturing experience is preferred, but candidates with strong mechanical ability and a solid work ethic are encouraged to apply.

Required qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • 20 years or older

Preferred qualifications:

  • 1+ year of experience in the warehouse & production industry
  • At least high school diploma or equivalent or higher
  • Valid driver's license
  • Construction skills: operating handheld tools
  • Warehouse skills: handheld scanner operation
  • Warehouse skills: managing inventory records
  • Able to work in an environment with fluctuating temperatures
  • Able to work in an environment with high temperatures
  • Able to work in an environment with low temperatures
  • Able to stand for duration of shift
  • Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs
  • Available to work: overtime
  • Available to work: weekends
  • Available to work: late at night
  • Available to work: overnight
  • Willing to wear face mask
