BCA, part of the Mpac Group, is growing, and we're looking for an experienced Welder / Fabricator to join our manufacturing team in Newburyport, Massachusetts.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, you'll play an important role in producing high-quality fabricated and welded components.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, manufacturing bills of material and work instructions
• Selecting the appropriate welding procedures for different materials and applications
• MIG and TIG welding of stainless steel components
• Assembling and welding parts using jigs and fixtures where required
• Using precision measuring equipment, including calipers, to ensure components meet specifications and tolerances
• Maintaining high standards of safety when carrying out welding, forklift and hoist operations
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet production requirements and deadlines
• Supporting overtime when required

We're looking for someone who takes pride in their work and can combine practical welding expertise with a strong focus on quality.

Ideally, you'll have:

• At least 2 years' stainless steel MIG and TIG welding experience
• The ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings
• Experience using precision measuring techniques and equipment
• Knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards
• High School Diploma or GED
• Technical school welding certification or training is preferred, although relevant on-the-job training is also accepted
• Good organisational skills and attention to detail
• The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
• A positive, motivated and self-driven approach
• The ability to perform effectively when working to deadlines
