Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery; Nursing

Position: Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery (Nursing)
Birthing Center (L&D) RN- 36 hr NIGHTS with every third weekend rotation. 7p-7a

Experience:

2 years of LDRP experience strongly preferred Licenses, Registrations, Certifications

Required:

State of Massachusetts RN licensure BLS NRP BSN

Education Required:

Must be a graduate of an accredited nursing program. 12 bed LDRP unit with a level 1B neonatal care center. birth approximately 600 babies per year. Are you ready to become a part of our dynamic Birthing Center team? Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Advocates for patients and families to ensure positive patient care outcomes.
• Documents all changes as well as relevant information regarding patient's response to intervention, therapeutic regimens, and patient progress as it relates to plan of care and patient's response to teaching.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families' peers and other members of the healthcare team.
• Includes patient, family, and caregivers in all aspects of care while ensuring that all explanations are understandable.
• Cares for patients throughout the following phases of care: triage, labor, delivery, recovery, circulate and cesarean sections, postpartum and well newborn care.
• Attends deliveries when appropriate. Implements stabilization process according to NRP guidelines.
• Responds effectively and professionally in a crisis situation.
• Provides resources to assist patients and families with post-discharge needs. BILH Cover Sheet Required Facility is not accepting local candidates. Cannot have worked perm/travel/PRN for any Beth Israel facility within the past six months. Flu vaccine required for new staff starting 9/2. Current staff will need to be vaccinated by 12/1. (declinations not accepted).
