Position Overview
We are seeking a full‑time, 40‑hour Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team. This position is based at our practice at 260 Merrimac Street, Newburyport, MA. The practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The APP will provide 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours of dedicated administrative time each week.
There are no weekend, holiday, or on‑call responsibilities associated with this role.
Provide comprehensive primary care services to an adult patient population, managing a wide range of acute and chronic medical conditions. Responsibilities include conducting annual wellness visits, evaluating and treating acute concerns, managing chronic diseases, coordinating care with specialists, and promoting preventive health and wellness.
Direct care, counseling, and education will be delivered to a designated patient population in ambulatory, inpatient, operative, and procedural settings. Additional tasks include performing complete histories and physical examinations; ordering, interpreting, and evaluating appropriate laboratory and diagnostic tests; developing plans of care and follow‑up based on diagnostic outcomes; consistently providing high‑quality and timely documentation (admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries);
performing bedside procedures as appropriate; and ordering medications and writing prescriptions in accordance with organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.

Master's Degree Nursing required.
Licenses and CredentialsAdvanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN‑NP – State License] required.
ExperienceExperience as a Nurse Practitioner 0‑1 year preferred.
Desired Experience LevelWe welcome Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants of all experience levels. New graduate Nurse Practitioners should have prior RN experience.
