Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant, Cardiology

We are seeking a full‑time 40‑hour Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our well‑established Cardiology team. This position is based at our practice located at 260 Merrimac Street in Newburyport, MA. The practice is open Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The APP will provide 36 hours of direct patient care and 4 hours of dedicated administrative time each week.

There are no weekend, holiday, or on‑call responsibilities associated with this role.

• Provide comprehensive outpatient cardiology care to patients across a broad spectrum of cardiovascular conditions.
• Evaluate and manage new, low‑acuity consults, ongoing follow‑up care for established patients, and review and interpret diagnostic testing results.
• Perform complete histories and physical examinations.
• Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory and diagnostic tests.
• Develop appropriate plans of care and follow‑up based on the outcomes of diagnostic, laboratory, and physical examination findings.
• Order medications and write prescriptions according to organizational and regulatory policies and procedures.
• Consistently provide high‑quality and timely documentation, including admission and progress notes, procedure notes, operative notes, and discharge summaries.
• Perform bedside procedures as are appropriate to the patient population.

• Master's Degree in Nursing required.
• Licensed Nurse Practitioner (APRN‑NP) with a state license (Generic – HR Only required).
• Minimum 2 years of licensed nurse practitioner experience; 1‑2 years required.
• Minimum 3 years of Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant experience in Internal Medicine or Cardiology.
• Experience in outpatient cardiology settings is preferred.

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse [APRN‑NP – State License] – Generic – HR Only required.
