Position OverviewUnder the direction of the Practice Manager, the Medical Office LPN provides clinical, technical, and administrative support to healthcare providers. This role collaborates closely with physicians and care teams to ensure efficient, patient‑centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Room patients, obtain vital signs and medical histories
- Assist providers during patient visits, including testing, immunizations, and follow‑up care
- Manage medication and imaging prior authorizations
- Review and follow up on lab results
- Process medication refills per protocol and manage electronic refill requests
- Respond to provider requests within the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Coordinate safe, organized care for patients and families
- Educate patients on conditions, treatments, and preventive care
- Build strong, professional relationships with patients and team members
- Support compliance with clinical and regulatory standards
- Current Massachusetts Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license (required)
- Current BLS certification (required)
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment
$29.00 - $39.03
The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. Actual compensation is determined based on several factors, that may include seniority, education, training, relevant experience, relevant certifications, geography of work location, job responsibilities, or other applicable factors permissible by law. Compensation may exceed the base hourly rate depending on shift differentials, call pay, premium pay, overtime pay, and other additional pay practices, as applicable to the position and in accordance with the law.
