Overview
The Christman Company is seeking a lead Project Scheduler in the Oklahoma City region. The Project Scheduler will work with the project management team to develop, monitor, and update an integrated construction project plan and schedule, ensuring projects are executed efficiently. This role supports and leads training programs, develops and maintains scheduling processes, and communicates complex data to executive management and cross-functional partners.
The position involves identifying schedule risks, analyzing claims and changes, and communicating risks and issues across stakeholders. This is an opportunity to join a growing team and work on a state-of-the-art Construction Delivery program in a fast-paced environment.
- Assist with the development and implementation of planning and scheduling techniques and methods.
- Work daily with the project team to translate the project plan into the project schedule.
- Lead development and analysis of project schedules, CPM software implementation, time impact and delay analysis, and review of periodic schedule updates.
- Prepare project time and cost claims.
- At project completion, help document historical schedule information and lessons learned for future projects.
- Demonstrate strong leadership and teamwork, as well as written and verbal communication skills.
- Maintain a high level of technical expertise through continuing education and schedule-related professional activities.
- Advance professionalism by participating in professional organizations dedicated to planning and scheduling.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor under project constraints and deadlines.
- Utilize strong computer skills with P6 and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project); willingness to test and implement new technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field.
- Five (5) years of experience in the construction industry in a project management or project planning role.
- Experience with advanced scheduling tooling and analytics, knowledge of pull planning, and Earned Value Management.
- Experience with MS Excel, MS Project, and/or Primavera P6.
- Experience in preconstruction planning and schedule optimization, portfolio analytics and reporting.
- Ability to build strong partnerships to support project goals.
- Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills in a collaborative and strategic role.
