Early Years Practitioner Level 2
YMCA Dulverton Group is looking for a dedicated Early Years Practitioner to support children aged 0-5 years.
Hours40 per week
ContractPermanent
Salary£25,821.14 per annum

- Provide opportunities for children to learn through play experiences that are cohesive with EYFS and utilising the outdoors.
- Provide a secure and stimulating environment where children can develop emotionally, intellectually, morally, physically, spiritually and socially at their own pace.
- Maintain the safety, security and wellbeing of the children in our care.
- Undertake work positively as part of the team, contributing ideas and listening to feedback to guide development of our practice and care.
- Understanding that each child is different and respect and provide best experience to service users.
- Experience working with children under 5 years of age.
- Excellent organisational and administrative skills and the ability to maintain clear records.
- Solution-focused approach.
- Belief in the value and potential of children and young people as individuals and as a group.
- Empathy and passion for working with children.
- Team player with ability to work on own initiative.
- Self-motivated and flexible.
- Provide emotional and social support while promoting learning and respect.
- Willingness to learn and accept leadership and mentoring input.
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
- Excellent attendance and punctuality record.
- Commitment to providing a high standard of customer care.
- Flexible attitude and willing to adapt to new challenges.
- Hold a Level 2 qualification or above relevant childcare qualification.
- First Aid qualification or willingness to learn.
- Working knowledge of health and safety and safeguarding best practice.
