Role:
Family Practitioner Team Leader (Club Coordinator)
Salary:
Up to £37,300 per annum (pro-rata)

Newcastle, Tyne and Wear
Hours:
Fixed Term Contract until 31st March 2027 - Part‑time - 22.5 hours a week.

As a Family Club Coordinator, you will lead a small team of Family Club Practitioners. You will help us give high‑quality support to children and families.
This job is important and rewarding. You will work with different teams and help families across Newcastle. You will help lead the growth of Family Clubs across the city. You will also create group activities and help families get involved in ways that suit their local community.
Family Clubs are warm, friendly places in local communities they give families a safe place to go and let them know they are not alone.
Families can:
- Come in, relax, and feel welcome.
- Eat, get warm, and meet other families.
- Join activities that help children grow in confidence.
- Get support with things like money worries, feeling lonely, or mental health.
About the team
We work with babies, children, young people and parents/carers in Newcastle. We are part of Newcastle’s Early Help services.
We help families with many kinds of support to make life better for their children. We have new funding to open more Family Clubs, so this role will help us reach even more families.
What you will do:
Find out where Family Clubs are needed and work with other organisations to help set them up.
Plan, organise, and help run Family Clubs across the city.
Talk with families and other services to understand what they need, and use this information to help plan the clubs.
Make sure families get the support they need to join Family Clubs and other activities.
Support your team to encourage parents and help them feel confident in their parenting.
Speak up for babies, children, young people and parents/carers when needed.
Work with other services like schools and health teams.
Keep clear records, collect information and write reports to show how things are going.
Work with other agencies to make sure families get the right help.
Follow safeguarding rules to keep children safe.
Support and supervise your staff team.
Be part of the management team.
