Consultant Ecologist

£30,000 £ 40,000 | Newcastle | Permanent

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Consultant Ecologist to join a growing and forward-thinking environmental consultancy. The company works nationally across ecology, Biodiversity Net Gain, nutrient neutrality, trees and environmental services, supporting major clients across the construction, infrastructure, retail and development sectors.

As a Consultant Ecologist, you will join a friendly and collaborative ecology team, working on a varied portfolio of projects across the UK. The Consultant Ecologist will be responsible for delivering ecological surveys and assessments, supporting BNG projects, producing technical reports and providing practical ecological advice throughout the planning and development process.

The successful Consultant Ecologist will have the opportunity to work on interesting, high-profile projects while developing their technical expertise within a supportive and progressive consultancy.

Requirements:
  • Degree in Ecology, Environmental Science or a related subject
  • Previous ecological consultancy experience
  • Experience delivering ecological surveys and assessments
  • Protected species and/or habitat survey experience
  • Strong report-writing and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Full right to work in the UK
  • Living in or within a commutable distance of Newcastle
