Position: Fire & Security Engineer(s)
Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

Overview

You will be responsible for the installation, servicing, maintenance and fault diagnosis of fire and security systems across commercial and domestic sites. The role requires a professional, customer-focused individual who can work independently while contributing positively to a growing team.

Responsibilities
  • Install, service, maintain and fault-find fire and security systems
  • Work on intruder alarms, fire alarm systems, CCTV and access control
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance visits
  • Respond to reactive call-outs and system faults when required
  • Complete all relevant job documentation accurately and on time
  • Ensure all work is carried out in line with current standards, regulations and company procedures
  • Maintain high standards of customer service and professionalism
  • Participate in an on-call rota (where applicable)
  • Liaise with office staff, engineers and management to ensure smooth delivery of work
  • Maintain company vehicle, tools and equipment in good condition
Skills & Experience
  • Proven experience in a Fire & Security Engineer role or similar
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems, intruder alarms, CCTV and access control
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • FIA, ECS/CSCS or manufacturer training
  • Experience with a range of industry-leading systems
  • Knowledge of relevant British Standards
