Location: Newcastle upon Tyne
We're looking for an experienced and reliable Mason to join a busy construction team in Newcastle. This role involves working on a variety of residential projects, delivering high-quality brickwork or stonework to a strong standard.
Job specification- Laying bricks, blocks, and/or stone to detailed specifications
- Reading and working from technical drawings and plans
- Preparing and mixing mortar
- Carrying out repairs and restoration work where needed
- Ensuring work is completed to a high standard and within deadlines
- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment
- Working closely with site managers and other trades
- Proven experience as a Mason / Bricklayer / Stonemason
- Valid CSCS card (essential)
- Strong attention to detail and workmanship
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
- Good understanding of health and safety on site
- Own tools and PPE
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team
