Electrical Installation Technician

Location: Newcastle upon Tyne

We are Zenith are recruiting for an Installation Electrician to join a leading manufacturing business on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with the right qualifications and an understanding of electrical installation who is looking to develop their skills within a specialist engineering environment.

Reporting into the Electrical Supervisor, full training will be provided on the company's products and processes, making this an ideal role for candidates who have the core electrical qualifications and are eager to learn.

Key Responsibilities

* Install and maintain electrical components within engineered equipment and systems.

* Carry out fault-finding, diagnostics, repairs and rewiring activities as required.

* Read and interpret electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.

* Work closely with supervisors and colleagues to plan and complete work to agreed schedules.

* Liaise with design, procurement and quality teams to ensure materials, components and completed work meet required standards.

* Support quality inspections and resolve any issues relating to rework or non-conforming products.

* Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements and company procedures.

* Carry out Fault Finding on Control Systems

* Undertake other duties as reasonably required within the role.

Essential Requirements

* Level 3 qualification in Electrical Installation.

* 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

* Good understanding of electrical installation principles and safe working practices.

* Strong communication and organisational skills.

* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office.

Desirable

* Previous experience within a manufacturing, engineering or assembly environment.

* HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
