We’re looking for a Field Service Engineer to join our growing UK Operations Team, supporting customer sites across the UK and Europe. In this hands‑on, high-impact role, you’ll lead on‑site installations, direct third‑party contractors as the Lead FSE, troubleshoot and maintain our systems, and serve as a key technical point of contact for our customers. You’ll play a critical role in delivering a safe, high‑quality installation and service experience while representing UVeye professionally in the field.
This role requires strong technical judgement, a customer service mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to adapt quickly and solve problems in a fast‑paced, constantly evolving environment.
- Own the on‑site execution of new UVeye system installations from site readiness and installation through testing, commissioning, and customer handoff
- Act as the Lead FSE on assigned installations, coordinating and directing third‑party contractors and ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, on schedule, and to UVeye standards
- Serve as UVeye’s primary on‑site technical point of contact, building strong relationships with customers, communicating progress and issues, managing expectations, and ensuring a professional customer experience
- Assess site readiness before and during installation, review site layouts and technical requirements, and identify infrastructure, electrical, networking, civil works, or other conditions that could impact successful deployment
- Install, configure, test, and validate UVeye hardware and supporting systems to ensure equipment is fully operational and ready for customer use
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, electrical, and mechanical issues in real time, taking ownership of issues through resolution or coordinating the appropriate internal resources when escalation is required
- Perform preventative, corrective, and emergency maintenance across existing customer sites, diagnosing system issues and restoring equipment to normal operation as efficiently as possible
- Maintain responsibility for safety while leading work on site, including identifying hazards, following site‑specific requirements, ensuring appropriate PPE is used, and addressing or escalating unsafe conditions
- Partner closely with Operations, Support, Engineering, Customer Success, and other internal teams to communicate field conditions, resolve technical issues, and support successful customer deployments
- Complete accurate and timely installation, commissioning, maintenance, and service documentation, including work performed, technical findings, outstanding issues, and required follow‑up
- Identify recurring technical or operational issues observed in the field and provide feedback to internal teams to help improve installation processes, system reliability, and the overall customer experience
