Elementary Technology Instructor

Overview

Newcastle Public Schools is seeking a confident, creative, and energetic Elementary Technology Instructor to join our team for the upcoming school year. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about digital literacy and eager to inspire students in grades 2–5 as they develop essential 21st‑century skills.

• Lead technology‑based instruction for students in grades 2 through 5.
• Deliver and guide students through lessons provided in our established district curriculum.
• Manage a classroom environment of approximately 22–25 students, ensuring a positive and productive atmosphere for learning.
• Support students in the proficient use of hardware (computers, Chromebooks) and various educational software platforms.
• Foster a classroom culture of digital citizenship and creative problem‑solving.

• Must be comfortable using computers, Chromebooks, and educational technology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, especially when working with elementary‑aged children.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check.
• Must be willing to obtain a Tier I Para Certificate.
