NECC Special Education Teacher

Position Summary

Newcastle Early Childhood Center is seeking a dedicated and qualified Early Childhood Special Education Teacher for the  school year. This position will support the individualized learning needs of students with disabilities in a collaborative and inclusive early childhood setting.

• Provide developmentally appropriate instruction to students in accordance with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
• Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff.
• Conduct assessments and contribute to eligibility and IEP meetings.
• Maintain accurate documentation and student records in compliance with IDEA and Oklahoma State Department of Education regulations.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress.
• Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment.

• Valid Oklahoma teaching certificate in Early Childhood and Special Education (or eligible).
• Knowledge of early childhood development and special education instructional strategies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

• Experience working in early childhood or preschool settings.
• Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and assistive technologies.
• Experience with IEP development and implementation.
