Newcastle Public Schools is seeking a qualified and dedicated School Psychologist for a part‑time evaluator role. This position is ideal for a professional who enjoys conducting psycho educational evaluations and contributing to data‑driven eligibility decisions in a collaborative, student‑centered environment.
Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive psycho educational evaluations in the areas of social and emotional adjustment, cognitive ability, academic achievement, sensory and perceptual‑motor functioning, and environmental or cultural influences.
- Provide clear, data‑based interpretations of evaluation results and contribute to psycho educational diagnoses as part of the special education eligibility process.
- Prepare thorough and timely written reports that meet state and federal standards.
- Participate as a member of the IEP team and assist in determining appropriate services and interventions.
- Maintain confidential student records and ensure compliance with all applicable privacy laws and regulations.
- Offer consultative support and practical recommendations to teachers, parents, and administrators regarding learning and behavioral concerns.
- Administer and interpret standardized assessments (e.g., WISC, BASC, KTEA).
- Demonstrate strong organizational, written communication, and time‑management skills.
- Maintain working knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, and Oklahoma State Department of Education (OSDE) special education procedures.
- Perform other related duties as assigned by the Special Services Director.
- Education:
Master’s Degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field. - Certification:
Valid Oklahoma School Psychologist certificate issued by the OSDE (or eligibility for certification). - Preferred Credentials:
Post‑master’s certification in Psychometry and/or School Psychology.
