CPC Engineer Manager

Job Summary

Coordinates and directs projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.

• Coordinate and direct projects, creating detailed plans to accomplish goals and integrate technical activities.
• Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess feasibility of projects.
• Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
• Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of operational equipment.
• Direct, review, and approve product design and changes.
• Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; oversee development and maintenance of staff competence.
• Assist with preparing budgets, bids, contracts, and direct negotiation of operational equipment contracts.
• Develop and implement policies, standards, and procedures for engineering and technical work performed in the department.
• Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about purchase of materials or services.
• Review and recommend or approve contracts and cost estimates.
• Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients; consult or negotiate with clients to prepare project specifications.
• Set scientific and technical goals within broad outlines provided by top management.
• Administer engineering department policies; coordinate and check engineering deliverables.
• Produce monthly project status reports and change orders.
• Plan, schedule, conduct, and coordinate technical and management aspects of projects.
• Be accountable for successful completion of engineering projects.
• Maintain extensive regular contact with assigned project internal and external clients.
• Oversee preparation of engineering project proposals and quotes.
• Oversee client meetings and resolve client/engineering and management project issues.
• Review and approve project client invoices; ensure effective engineering and client communications.
• Review and approve design information where involved, including known engineering discipline.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
