This position is responsible for originating residential mortgage loans for clients and serves as a primary lending specialist within the financial center. The role delivers First Mortgage and HELOC products through in‑person or telephone interactions, and provides other banking offerings such as auto loans, credit cards and core banking services.
All employees engaged in residential mortgage loan originations must register with the federal Safe Act system and remain in good standing. Failure to obtain or maintain registration may result in disciplinary action up to termination.
Responsibilities- Provide specialized and personalized service offering advice and guidance to clients on the full spectrum of borrowing and banking offerings at each stage of their life plan.
- Build and deepen relationships with new and existing clients by leveraging the full capabilities of the bank.
- Analyze clients’ financial needs and recommend financial services that best align with their priorities.
- Present potential home lending product solutions, submit mortgage applications, assist clients with gathering supporting documentation, and keep clients informed throughout the mortgage loan process via outbound calls, email and online messaging.
- Conduct outreach and pipeline management activities, and perform consistent follow‑up to meet client needs.
- Respond to client requests and refer appropriate internal partners based on client needs.
- Partner with financial center leaders, performance managers and market leaders to provide guidance and coaching to associates on delivering an exceptional client experience.
- Minimum 2 years of mortgage origination experience or equivalent experience demonstrating ability to assess client needs, leadership, trust building, and consultative sales.
- Proficient in listening to clients to determine their needs and goals, communicating professionally, and engaging clients in person and over the phone.
- Critical thinker capable of analyzing financial and credit data to advise clients of product/pricing policies and guidelines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle ambiguity and adapt to changing circumstances.
- Dedicated, enthusiastic, performance‑oriented with a strong work ethic.
- Willing to work weekends and/or extended hours as needed.

- Experience in a loan origination role in a retail environment and knowledge of mortgage products (Conventional, Jumbo, HELOC, Government) and licensing.
- Knowledge of federal regulations governing real‑estate lending (FHA, HUD).
- Other lending products experience (credit card, vehicle loans).

High School Diploma / GED / Secondary School or equivalent.

Hours per week: 40
Pay range: $26.00 – $30.83 hourly; incentives available through a formulaic incentive plan; benefits eligible.
