Ccsu Fellowship Program
The School of Education and Professional Studies at Central Connecticut State University is partnering with the Connecticut State Department of Education (CSDE) to create a "Teacher Fellowship Program". The Teacher Fellowship Program is designed to create enhanced learning environments for both the CCSU Teacher Candidates and K-12 students in Connecticut. Cohorts of teacher candidates will be provided opportunities to work within school districts to enhance their own professional growth and development, as well as positively impact student learning and achievement of all students.
The goal of the program is to enhance teaching innovation and teaching quality by bringing together a cohort of outstanding Teaching Fellows who will, through their increased work in the classroom, bring excellence and rigor in the next generation of teachers, while supporting K-12 student learning in Connecticut.
The Teacher Fellowship Program will provide opportunities for teaching and learning through a cohort-based model that supports personal and professional growth and development. The program brings together rich and diverse experiences for the Teaching Fellows and a platform to encourage, motivate, and foster the development of outstanding teacher candidates who can and will make a difference for future generations of learners.
