Description
General Summary:
The Engineering Intern assists the Manufacturing Engineering Team with production projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital justifications. The position provides hands-on engineering experience in an Aerospace facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Reads and interprets blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications.
- Generated drawings from models
- Editorial changes on tool sheet or setup instructions
- Create work instructions on jobs or special processes
- Special projects, such as implementation of Zoller software
- Submission on flight safety documents
- Fixture designs
- Works on other projects as assigned by Manager
Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Junior/Senior Mechanical Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Solid Works, preferred
- Extremely well-organized with superior attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to multitask, work in a high pace environment and meet deadlines.
