GeneralSummary:
The Engineering Intern assists the Manufacturing Engineering Team with production projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital justifications. The position provides hands‑on engineering experience in an Aerospace facility.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:- Reads and interprets blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications.
- Generates drawings from models.
- Edits drawings on tool sheets or setup instructions.
- Creates work instructions for jobs or special processes.
- Works on special projects, such as implementation of Zoller software.
- Submits flight safety documents.
- Designs fixtures.
- Works on other projects as assigned by Manager.
- Junior/Senior Mechanical Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer.
- Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Solid Works, preferred.
- Extremely well‑organized with superior attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, work in a high‑pace environment and meet deadlines.
