General

Summary:

The Engineering Intern assists the Manufacturing Engineering Team with production projects, continuous improvement initiatives, and capital justifications. The position provides hands‑on engineering experience in an Aerospace facility.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, symbols and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications.
  • Generates drawings from models.
  • Edits drawings on tool sheets or setup instructions.
  • Creates work instructions for jobs or special processes.
  • Works on special projects, such as implementation of Zoller software.
  • Submits flight safety documents.
  • Designs fixtures.
  • Works on other projects as assigned by Manager.
Position Requirements Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
  • Junior/Senior Mechanical Engineer or Manufacturing Engineer.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or Solid Works, preferred.
  • Extremely well‑organized with superior attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, work in a high‑pace environment and meet deadlines.
